Version 2026-10-15 (October 15, 2026). Also at https://milepal.web.app/terms

MilePal is made and owned by Plantburgh Products LLC, a Pennsylvania company owned by Plantburgh LLC ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Plantburgh Products LLC. You accept them by tapping I agree. When we change them, the app shows what changed and asks you to agree again before you go on.

Who can use MilePal

You must be 18 or older. If you use MilePal for a business or a team, you agree for that business too, and you confirm you're allowed to.

Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, which we can end as these terms say, to use MilePal on phones and computers you own or control, for your own mileage records and your business's. Nothing else is licensed to you.

What we own and what you own

What the app does

MilePal records your drives on your phone and helps you keep a mileage log. Tracking your miles is free. Reports, exports and other paid features are part of MilePal Pro.

Ads on the free plan

The free plan shows a few ads, ours and partners': the "From Plantburgh" card in the app, and on MilePal's online account pages also ads served by Google. The app itself contains no ad software. Pro, team seats and VIP codes hide them all. Some partner links earn us a commission at no cost to you. Our Privacy policy says what an ad can learn.

Not tax advice

The app, its reports, its guide, the tax set-aside estimate, the standard-versus-actual comparison, the Schedule C worksheet and the Tax-time package are general information prepared from your own records. They are not tax, legal or accounting advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your log and for what you file. Ask a qualified tax professional about your situation.

No guarantee every drive is recorded

GPS, your phone's settings, battery saving and other apps can stop a drive from being recorded or make a distance inaccurate. Check your log, fix what is wrong, and keep odometer readings.

Your responsibilities

Refunds

Google handles Google Play refunds in the first 48 hours. After that, write to contact@plantburgh.com. We refund a subscription unless these terms were broken. A past year is a final sale: it opens at once and its report is yours to keep, so we do not refund it after Google's 48 hours. A refunded past year closes again on every phone and online.

Ending

You can stop using MilePal and delete your account any time (Settings, Account). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, misuse the app or put other people at risk. What you already exported stays yours.

Support

contact@plantburgh.com. We answer within 30 days.

Limits

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost deductions, penalties, interest, lost data or indirect losses. Keep your own backups. You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim against us comes from your breaking these terms or tracking someone without consent.

Buying team seats on the web

Businesses can also buy seats at milepal.web.app/team, paid by card through Stripe: $5 a month or $30 a year per seat, 1 to 50 seats, plus any sales tax that applies. Adding seats charges the time to your billing date now; removing seats leaves credit on your next bill, not a refund. Cancel any time from that page; seats keep working to the end of the paid period.
